HARPSICHORD ACCOMPANIMENT

Dušan Toroman

Dušan Toroman received a graduate degree in piano performance in his native Serbia. An interest in historical keyboard instruments brought him to Italy, where he studied fortepiano with Stefano Fiuzzi at the Imola Piano Academy and harpsichord with Maria Luisa Baldassari at the Conservatory “Gioacchino Rossini” in Pesaro. For many years he enjoyed the guidance of musicologist and harpsichordist Emilia Fadini, while also attending masterclasses of musicians such as Malcolm Bilson, Enrico Baiano, Ottavio Dantone, Sergio Ciomei, Jory Vinikour...

Winner of the Broadwood Horniman Harpsichord Competition (London), Tournoi International de Musique (Paris) and Concorso Internazionale Wanda Landowska (Ruvo di Puglia), Dušan maintains a lively concert activity that has brought him to France, England, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Serbia, Bosnia and Slovenia.

Due to his long-standing interest in vocal music, he has worked extensively as an accompanist and currently holds a position at the singing department of the Faculty of Arts in Kragujevac. He also worked for the Belgrade Baroque Academy, the Austrian Baroque Academy and the Baroque Atelier led by Marijana Mijanović.
